Sipple: Let’s make government ‘boring’ again

Posted

Can we agree that America’s politics are in a state of disarray? Remember when politics was a boring subject and not the main topic on all news shows and talk shows? Turn on late-night talk shows, and politics are the lead in their monologues.

The problem with some current politicians is they want to be entertainers. They want the spotlight. They want to go where they can get the most TV coverage. If your politician is on the tube everyday, then you know they’re not where they should be: in their office fighting for the people who they were elected to fight for, the people of their state.

They seem to forget that they are in the House of Representatives. They need to concentrate on helping the people of the state they represent! Instead, they have turned it into the House of Donald Trump, a man who isn’t even in government at this time.

I say it’s time to make government boring again. Time to elect people who care for our country and not the amount of coverage they can get. If you want to be on TV, go to Hollywood. Let the real politicians do their jobs.
