I really don’t think retail is the future of downtown Dover. I think Dover needs to consider a Williamsburg, Virginia-type setting. Dover doesn’t really seem to take advantage of its history and historical buildings.
Loockerman Street in the center of Dover should be turned into a cobblestone-type road, with historically relevant shops and restaurants lining both sides. People come from all over the world to go to Williamsburg. I think Dover could have that kind of potential.
