Question of the Day: What can be done to reduce gun violence?

Posted

Here is the Question of the Day:

Gov. John Carney has announced a six-part gun safety package of legislation aimed at preventing tragedies like recent shootings in New York and Texas. Two current bills would limit high-capacity magazines and strengthen background checks. Legislation unveiled Thursday would ban the sale of assault weapons and raise the age to buy firearms to 21 years old. Still to be introduced are bills that would hold gun manufacturers and dealers liable for reckless actions leading to gun violence and ban devices that convert handguns into fully automatic weapons. Do you support this effort? What do you think should be done to reduce gun violence Delaware and across the country?
