PIKE CREEK — A fire that caused damage to four homes Tuesday night is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s office, spokesman Michael Chionchio said Wednesday.
The Mill Creek Fire Company responded to the 4700 block of Weatherhill Drive in the Weatherhill Farms development in Pike Creek around 8:30 pm, where authorities discovered an active fire engulfing one home and spreading to two adjacent townhouses, according to the spokesman.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
In addition, the American Red Cross provided emergency assistance to eight adults and 1 child, with the total fire damage estimated at $500,000.
