In response to Dr. Richard F. Bieker’s Opinion, it is not a question of receiving too many seniors as new citizens to our state (“Should Delaware slow in-migration of older adults?”). It is a matter of attracting businesses that will employ and draw more younger people to our state.
Restricting an age group not only sounds unwelcoming; it is! Developing our economic base builds a better future for the young people who already live here (and hopefully stay here), and it also serves as a beacon to welcome younger talent, increasing our tax base and energizing the state to greater quality-of-life possibilities.
