North Georgetown Elementary seeks kindergarten students for new Spanish program

Posted

GEORGETOWN — North Georgetown Elementary School is accepting kindergarten students for Spanish immersion, a new program for 2023-24.

There are several openings in the course, which supports the development of Spanish and English language skills jointly.

Families residing in the North Georgetown feeder area will need to register their child for kindergarten at the school and indicate their preference for the Spanish immersion program.

For information, contact the school at 302-855-2430.

Registering students can also be completed at schoolchoicede.org, a user-friendly interface that allows parents to quickly submit applications to the school of choice for their children.

The system offers both English and Spanish options. Parents must create an account with a username and password, and once an account has been created, the North Georgetown Spanish immersion program can be chosen.

Also in the Indian River School District, the language courses are available at John M. Clayton and East Millsboro elementary schools.
