I am writing to express my sincere thanks to my neighbor, Sheriff Brian Lewis, who surprised my mother and I this Thanksgiving holiday and delivered a turkey to our doorstep.
If it were not for him giving us that turkey, we would have not had a Thanksgiving meal. I then found out, after telling the lady across the street from me how grateful I was for the turkey, that Sheriff Brian not only delivered a turkey to us but also to other folks in our neighborhood, particularly those with disabilities and needy families with young children.
His persistent work in the community helping low-income and underprivileged citizens like us is much appreciated and a blessing. I would like him to know that he is a true servant to our community and what comes from the heart goes to the heart.
