Letter to the Editor: Superintendent thanks voters for Lake Forest referendum support

It is with great enthusiasm that I thank you for your show of support in passing the 2023 Lake Forest school operating referendum May 6. By voting for this referendum, you have demonstrated how much you value a Lake Forest education and recognize the importance of this experience for the future of our community.

Your vote provides the board and administration the ability to plan effectively for the future of the district. Moreover, this referendum directly provides for improvements in school safety and security, and staff recruitment and retention; and allows us to provide essential technology and to keep the maximum number of buses on the road. We understand the sacrifice you have made in service to the district and pledge to use these much-needed resources wisely and strategically.

On behalf of the staff, administration and Lake Forest board of education, we are humbled by your confidence in us, and we thank you for this sincere show of support. We look forward to a great end of this school year and the bright future you have created for the students of Lake Forest. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you on a Lake Forest campus soon!
