I agree wholeheartedly with Councilwoman Sue Barlow (“Some Georgetown officials disappointed in Family Court design,” June 13). The design for the new Family Court building is not only ugly, but it appears to contain a lot of wasted space that will need to be heated and cooled.
And why would the architect think that anyone would want to go to the top of the building and stand there looking at the roof? I understand that we need a new building, but why does anyone think that that equates to “a building that looks different”?
I love the historic look of Delaware and hope that these plans are drastically changed to conform to a historic exterior with an updated and modern interior ... without the stairs to the lookout on the roof.
