Why was gas going up if we were still buying oil from Russia? Our leader’s been blaming it on the war causing the shortage, but yet, we were still buying?
Another point is that they make it sound like Russia is 50% of the global oil supply, but in fact, it’s only a small percentage. We were being squeezed even before there is a shortage.
It’s a shame, also, that in 2020, there were ships of oil sitting, waiting to get offloaded, and the price per barrel was really low, but gas never got down to $1 a gallon. And now, we’ve been a whole year and three months with steady increase in everything, and all our leaders say is we’re going to have to bear it, as it’s going to get worse.
My last question: How better off are you today compared to 2020?
