Letter to the Editor: President Biden should remember the Alamo

Posted

As most history buffs are aware, the brave, undermanned heroes defended a small mission named the Alamo began battle with a well-trained, experienced Mexican army. These dedicated Texians fought bravely for 13 days of glory against this massive Mexican force led by President Gen. Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, who believed this territory should remain within Mexican control. The Texian inhabitants of the land did not agree with this decree. They dedicated their lives to the death defending their territory.

These brave, outnumbered Texas heroes are men who should remind President Joe Biden and his administration that our beloved country is also sacred land to be protected and secured for all Americans, not the wide-open Southern border that we now endure. Not enough federal government help has been effectively offered to our brave, outnumbered border control agents. Now, illegal immigrants from many countries traverse throughout our nation. Cartels have effectively transported millions of illegal immigrants to enter across our Southern border, from there to be transported throughout our entire nation. President Biden and his ineffective appointees endeavoring to stop this invasion disaster — e.g., Vice President Kamala Harris and current Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas — are complete failures in the performance of their efforts. We must not believe the fallacies from Biden’s administration personnel that all is well and that they are in control of any immigration issues.

The pledge spoken by President Biden upon his inauguration must be abided by. To protect and secure, our American constitutional rights must be again confirmed now. Illegal immigration must never be allowed to overtake our national security.

Remember the Alamo, Mr. President, and protect our beloved country now, as the brave Texan heroes performed in 1836.

May God always bless the United States of America!
