Senate Bill 320 has the support of numerous lawmakers. The fact that all sponsors named in the article are all Democrats (“Mail-in voting bill introduced in Senate,” June 11) has nothing to do with it, right? Not one member of the opposite party signed on?
Just spitballing here: Is it possible that this could have to do with the fact that Joe Biden’s approval rating, even in Delaware, is low? He’s not running, but the down-ballot candidates are.
Absentee ballots have been around for a very long time and could be used instead of this new method.
Absentee ballots have a pretty high threshold for proof of need and voter identification.
This SB 320 smells of “just in case we need the votes” to me!
