Joe Biden and Barack Obama said the taxpayers would be saved “billions” when they federalized the student loan program. Did anyone believe that? Now, Biden seeks to circumvent an adverse decision, ignoring polls that show 70% of citizens oppose “forgiveness” proposals and their costs.
Ms. Kamala Harris and Mr. Biden denigrate the Supreme Court when it enforces constitutional limitations on their powers.
Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., has threatened justices by name. Some legislators advocate packing the court. “Protesters” harass and seek to intimidate judges in public and at their homes. Interest groups demand rulings that reflect what they wish the law were instead of what was actually enacted.
Lack of respect for our justice system and the rule of law is the real “threat to democracy.”
