There’s no favored party when it comes to campaign signs during election season. Excuse me? (DelDOT on lookout for improper campaign signs, Aug. 17)
The sheer sight of all the signs littering our roads, destroying our landscape, should be reason enough to ban them all.
They are everywhere, distracting drivers, as if we need further distractions.
They have now grown into semi-permanent billboards, more plentiful every year, selfishly and self-servingly being allowed by our lawmakers.
How ridiculous is it that whoever makes a bigger sign is touting to be the better candidate. Quite the opposite.
I say it shows complete arrogance and lack of regard for the public. Adding insult to injury: They should know better, as many are already in office.
How about the tractor-trailer on Del. 1 traveling south, painted with the candidate’s name, in the Cave Neck area? Gimme a break.
Home and contractor advertising signs everywhere, too.
Time to stop this nonsense. Our roadways are much too dangerous already. They need to be banned and removed. Or otherwise, fined heavily. It’s long overdue.
