The Associated Press article appearing in Sunday’s Delaware State News (“Omicron leaves food banks short of volunteers”) is yet another example of how the ongoing pandemic affects everyone, not just those infected.
Fortunately, the Food Bank of Delaware hasn’t felt the effect of the situation highlighted in the article. Volunteers are critical to our operation, and thanks to our corporate partners, small businesses, elected leaders, local service organizations and concerned individuals, the volunteer force at the Food Bank remains strong. As we continue to serve more Delawareans than ever, our volunteers play a critical role. We cannot thank them enough and are always happy to welcome even more into the fold.
