Letter to the Editor: State of the Union address saddens writer

Posted

It saddens me to see a man called president of the U.S., who won by vote count, stand before the American people and spew out such lies as heard Feb. 7 in the State of the Union address.

The first day in office, it’s said he fired over 30,000 people who were preparing our nation to be energy-independent. I am tired of hearing about what he inherited. Laid in his lap was a plan that would secure our borders and protect our people, the lowest unemployment among Blacks and Hispanics ever, energy independence and an energetic economy.

Now, with the help of Dr. Anthony Fauci and the rest of the Democrat Party, he has turned this nation upside down, pitting Blacks against Whites. Instead of uniting the nation, he has caused a great divide. Unlike many across this great land, on Election Day, I voted for the platform, not for the person. I voted for protecting the Second Amendment; the next Supreme Court justice; for law enforcement, our military, the veterans who gave much for this nation, the flag that used to represent integrity and strength; and for free speech not to be censored. I voted for secure borders (the monies were left to complete the wall) and the right to praise my God without fear. I voted for those who have no voice, who are still in the womb waiting to be born. I voted for the republic that I live in and for the future of this great nation, which, contrary to what some have been told and believe, has done more for the nations under heaven than any other country.

My God has brought forth this nation, with all its faults and imperfections, to be what it was in the ’60s and ’70s. Then, the liberals really started to ratchet up their desire to bring this nation to its knees. The Supreme Court remove prayer from our schools. Liberals infiltrated our schools and started training our young people to despise our country, take all you can get and give nothing back. Mr. Joe Biden was in on it when the Congress approved borrowing from the three Trust Funds (the Old-Age and Survivors Trust Fund; the Disability Trust Fund; and the Medicare Trust Fund).

Folks, you better wake up. The bells are ringing, sounding the alarm, or is it too late?
