Contrary to Mr. Reid Beveridge’s erroneous assertion, Georgia, a former Soviet republic, is not any sort of “Russian province” (“Resolution to Ukraine war does not look promising,” April 14). It is instead an independent sovereign country, as it was at the time that Russia invaded it in 2008.
Let us hope that facts still matter.
