I was on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., in January 2009, listening to the inaugural address of Barack Obama. I left 10 minutes into his speech, as I realized the American voter had been sold a bill of goods. I believe Obama’s platform of “hope and change” was built on a policy that this country was racist and needed to be “transformed.” Smiling right along with President Obama that day was his vice president, Joe Biden.
During Obama’s eight years as president, the Black Lives Matter group and its hatred for America grew by leaps and bounds. The “defund the police” refrain gained tremendous forward movement when Obama repeated untruths about the Ferguson, Missouri, police shooting. Concurrently, many print and news media outlets openly supported Obama’s policies that I believe weakened our nation.
Fast-forward to January 2021, when, less than 24 hours after his inauguration, President Joe Biden destroyed the tremendous work done by President Donald Trump of getting this country back to being energy-independent, having a strong military and being the preeminent nation in the world.
It’s obvious to me Biden believed that Obama’s “hope and change” dialogue needed to be expanded, so he championed “unity.” However, his idea of unity was to introduce diversity, equity and inclusion. On their face, those three words are probably good ideas. (He should have kept “equality” instead of introducing “equity.”) However, given the way those have been implemented as policy by his administration, they are destroying this country and eliminating the concept of God, family and country.
Why is their implementation so detrimental to the future of this nation?
Diversity is fair enough, but when diversity of thought is branded as racist, it can be used in a dangerous fashion. I read that the Department of Justice is going after parents who differ in thought with how various school boards are implementing the polarizing ideas of critical race theory and The 1619 Project, and that FBI is going after Catholics. The politicization of those two government bureaus is a serious challenge to our First Amendment rights. But Joe and his agencies apparently want firm government control of how you talk and think.
The Biden administration has used the word “equity” and the policy it represents to further destroy our educational system. The use of standardized testing is now being questioned, as too many students are failing miserably. Instead of focusing on teaching our children versus indoctrinating them and questioning the failure of teachers and administrators, loosening and/or eliminating requirements is becoming the norm. The reason used is that minority children just can’t do the work. That is patently false. Using race to make our children question their ability and pitting one group against another demonstrates a terrible use of the word “equity” and deflects the discussion of the abject failure of our public educational system.
Perhaps the most insidious use of the diversity, equity and inclusion concept is being accomplished with the word “inclusion.” Inclusion is being used to promote drag queen storytime in some libraries and the burgeoning business of child trans clinics. As if dumbing down our educational process isn’t bad enough, counselors and medical personnel in our public schools are said to be pushing teens who may question their sexuality into the transgender process. These teens are too young to make those decisions. I also suspect they have zero understanding of the long-term effects of having their bodies mutilated.
Instead of addressing our wide-open Southern border and the over 5 million illegal crossings, or worrying about runaway inflation, high gas prices, a burgeoning national debt and the extreme failure of our public educational system, many of the Cabinet members in the Biden administration are worried about racist highways and bridges, and that transgender medicine for young children is a necessary medical process. Our president is quickly destroying this country. I consider him a full-blown narcissist who only cares about his continued power.
The 2024 elections are a short 21 months away. Unless we, the American voters, stop this insanely pushed policy of diversity, equity and inclusion by voting out Democrats, we will lose this country.
