At first, like so many others, I thought the extra $60 I had been charged to renew the registration on my hybrid was unfair. Then, I read the fee structure on the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles’ website. Hybrids will be charged $60, plug-in hybrids $85, and electric vehicles $110.
People need to learn more about the facts, not rumors. It would also have been nice of the Daily State News to have reported the complete fee structure in the initial Opinion, to clarify the issue ("Is the new alternative fuel vehicle fee fair?").
