The University of Delaware has not paid its share of taxes to Newark. The payments that started in 1965, and then updated in 2001, do not cover the expenses of the city.
Has the university added more students during this period? Has it kept tuition at the same rate? If those two items have increased, then it is fair for the city to have UD pay more. How much does the school have in endowments?
