The Opinion by Fred Neil is on the money (“Dover Police Department is under siege”). People find it very easy to complain about the police, but they would be the first to call if something happens. The complainers always talk about officers’ actions and conduct. They never take into account the person they are either trying to help or are arresting.
How many shootings involve people who know the suspect’s identity but won’t give details or any information for the police to act on? Why don’t people condemn the conduct of the person doing things wrong? How many people being arrested don’t comply? They just make matters worse. It’s like a parent trying to control a 3-year-old during a tantrum.
Stand for the blue. Be thankful these heroes are there to protect you.
