WILMINGTON — A fire that heavily damaged a home Tuesday night is under investigation, the State Fire Marshal’s office said Wednesday.

According to spokesperson Michael Chionchio, the Talleyville Fire Company was dispatched to the 100 block of West Pembrey Drive near Foulk Road shortly after 11:30 p.m. for a 911 call that a house was on fire.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and encountered flames shooting from the home, he added, with estimated damage totaling $200,000. No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.

Deputy fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire, which remained under investigation Wednesday afternoon.
