As the communists take over the Democratic Party, many of the alleged stronger and moderate Democrats are pitching the refrain of “we are a welcoming big tent” that is open to anyone who wants to enter. What those foolish Democrats don’t understand is that the communists they are welcoming are nothing more than an all-consuming virus that will eventually destroy all of them and our constitutional democracy.
The recently published platform outlined by the Democratic Socialists of America — i.e., the friendly communists being welcomed into the Democrats’ big tent — has finally told us what they really want. They want to abolish the presidency, the U.S. Senate and the Supreme Court! Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., a strong supporter of the DSA, has previously stated that she wanted to fundamentally change the United States, and her absolute support for this new platform does exactly that.
For 250 years, we have lived within the framework of a constitutional democracy that is built on a three-legged stool: the executive, legislative and judicial branches of our government. Within those three legs are the checks and balances that have made this country great. At times, they function with difficulty, but they somehow always seem to find a solution to the problems they face. It is not a perfect system but one that gives every citizen the opportunity to participate and flourish to the best of their abilities.
The DSA platform destroys that three-legged stool and puts all government power into one group of individuals: those elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. If enough DSA supporters are elected to the House — those the Democrats allowed entry into the big tent — they will “select” our president, i.e., an executive; determine who would sit in the Senate; and select those to sit on the Supreme Court. Kiss voting for those who represent us goodbye, as the House of Representatives (for which Delaware would get one vote!) will select its sycophants to be our executive, our senators and our Supreme Court justices.
Belief in the DSA platform destroys our U.S. Constitution and says your vote is virtually useless, as it’s only for someone to represent you in the House. Disagree with the nominee for the House, and you have no further vote. From there, the House will determine how the country is governed. You, the voter, will no longer have a say as to how this country is governed, as those elitists elected to the House will make all future decisions about the future of the United States.
While I truly believe these DSA folks are incredibly dangerous and crazy, why hasn’t every Democrat shunned them? I believe the real answer is that most Democrats hate this country and want to see the changes outlined in the DSA policy platform destroy our country.
As such, where do Rep. Sarah McBride and Sen. Chris Coons, both D-Del., stand? Their silence on the DSA platform sends every Delawarean a message that is loud and clear: They agree with the platform. In a recent article in this paper, I noticed that no one is challenging Ms. McBride this November, but several individuals are challenging Mr. Coons. Why?
I suspect that no one wants to challenge a transgender. Because of the potential backlash one would receive, an honest challenger misses a real opportunity to show Delaware who Ms. McBride really is — a hardcore, card-carrying supporter of the DSA. Just look at her voting record. Forget she is a transgender; focus only on her voting record, and she’ll expose herself for who she really is.
As for Mr. Coons, his silence on the dangers of the DSA platform has brought out several potential competitors. He claims to be moderate; he is not, and I suspect the DSA supporters in Delaware will be out in full force to defeat him. If I were him, I would be looking over my shoulder, as the virus infecting his big tent has already started the process of eliminating him.
As we approach the November midterms, it is time for the voting citizens of Delaware to break the stranglehold the “Boss” Tweed machine of New Castle County has on this state. The terrible silence on the part of Ms. McBride and Mr. Coons to totally rebuke the DSA platform really tells us who they are. It is time to send those who truly support and believe in our constitutional republic to represent us in Washington.
