Tearing down the White House’s East Wing is analogous to eliminating Congress. The travesty of injustices by the present occupants is beyond the pale. Project 2025 was drawn up by an ultraconservative think tank, named the Heritage Foundation. Mr. Donald Trump once again showed his expert ability to tell lie after lie by advising that he knew nothing about Project 2025 during his campaign. Presently, he is using its playbook. Fearful of the “great replacement theory” because the United States will have a Caucasian minority population in the next 10-20 years, Trump and his gang have been devising one unconstitutional rule after another.
Their goal is to preserve continuing power and favorite-son-and-daughter status for mostly White, well-funded corporations and other multinational billionaires. The latter are quite willing to favor authoritarianism and to eliminate the democratic values that our very well-educated Founding Fathers drew up in 1787 and passed into law the same year. One nation, with liberty and justice for all, has been the ultimate goal of our Constitution. However, super PACs and unlimited funding began with the 2010 Supreme Court ruling that said First Amendment free speech allows unlimited amounts of money to be given to political parties and their candidates. This ruling, called “Citizens United,” has led to the devastating political corruption we are witnessing today, and not being “awoken” to this reality has kept us sleeping at the wheel. Wake up, everybody!
The first step we can take to stay awake at the wheel and begin steering ourselves in a course correction is to vote the robotic politicians out and put in human beings who have the democratic ideals they signed up for when they ran for office. We must get the big money they make to get elected out of their pockets. Overturning Citizens United is the first step in this process. The “Big Beautiful Bill” is ugly, since it denies every person in the lower-middle economic class and below a chance to pursue the American Dream.
President Trump always hated Obamacare and is taking another crack at killing it because Barack Obama and his team of experts created it to help every citizen gain health care benefits. Consequently, the long closing of the government persists. Only a certain segment of the population appeals to Mr. Trump. You must “show him the money” to gain entrance to any good graces he may have to bestow on you. Wow, the corruption existing in real time is mind-boggling.
Passing comprehensive immigration reform before the last election would have made it much easier to round up the undocumented immigrants with criminal records. Instead, every Tom, Dick, Harry and Jane are often being unjustly rounded up. Inevitably, crazy times must give way to sanity. We must dig ourselves out of the rubble this administration continues to create.
