Posted

LEWES — During its first meeting in nearly a month, the Cape Henlopen School District board of education Thursday reelected president Dr. Alison Myers and chose Dr. Janis Hanwell as its vice president.

Dr. Hanwell, representing Area D and first elected in 2017, was nominated by previous vice president Julie Derrick. The new vice president retired from the district in 2010 as assistant superintendent and was the project director for the construction of Cape Henlopen High School.

Dr. Myers and Dr. Hanwell were elected at large.
