CAMDEN — Dr. Ronald Kahn was inducted as president of the Camden-Wyoming Rotary Club on Friday, as the organization installed its officers for 2024-25.
He will succeed Sue Simon, who club members said “served with distinction over the past year.” Dr. Khan also served as president in 1995-96.
“It’s going to be a busy but fun year,” he said, while emphasizing his commitment to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.”
Dr. Khan outlined his vision for the upcoming term, focusing on four areas: recruiting and retaining members; increasing fundraising to expand impact; collecting new and used shoes to support Soles4Souls, a worldwide program that provides footwear to those in need; and creating jobs in developing countries.
The rest of Camden-Wyoming’s newly installed leadership team is president-elect Akash Dania, vice president Dan Taylor, immediate past president Ms. Simon, secretary Debbie Taylor and treasurer Dave Walczak.
The club also named Vito Muti as chair of the Nobles Pond Satellite Club, plus Fran Johnson, Trish Rodriguez, Jose Echeverri and Yasmith Johnson as board members.
The Camden-Wyoming Rotary Club, founded in 1945, has a rich history of local service and international cooperation.
