Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Friends of the Milford Public Library’s summer and fall book sales.
These events have always enjoyed outstanding community support, and this season was no exception. In addition to the community’s generosity, we are deeply grateful to the many volunteers whose time and dedication make these sales possible.
All proceeds from the sales are reinvested into the library. These funds help purchase books, DVDs and other materials, as well as cover the costs associated with the many free programs the library provides to people of all ages.
If you missed the book sales, don’t worry! The Friends of the Milford Public Library will host the annual Christmas Sale on Dec. 4, 5 and 6. Check the library’s event calendar at milford.lib.de.us for information.
Thanks to the success of our book sales and the support of the greater Milford community, we have been able to donate more than our anticipated goal of $10,000. We are thrilled to share that we provided the library with $12,000 to fund its programs and purchase materials.
Once again, a huge thank-you to all our residents who supported us with their purchases. We look forward to seeing you again in December!
