Ayers: Kennedy is who this country needs

Posted

I’m writing in as a concerned citizen, worried by the lack of knowledge in our community about the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. campaign for the presidency this November. RFK Jr. is polling fairly consistently in the 20%-25% range in polls that are (mostly) legitimate in their polling methodologies. There was even a recent poll taken on X, by @Political_Polls, that showed RFK Jr. at 36% with over 300,000 respondents (Donald Trump at 50%, and Kamala Harris at 12%). All of this in spite of the fact that the major media outlets will not talk about him or let him onscreen for live interviews, out of fear of further legitimizing him. When they do let him on, they immediately try smearing him and publicly character assassinating him. Because of this, nearly half of Americans don’t even know he’s running for office (which is astounding, given how he is polling).

Kennedy is running on a platform to do the following:

  • Make housing more affordable by getting large corporations out of the single-family home market and offering a first-time homebuyers’ loan program that is funded by the very homebuyers who would benefit.
  • Stop sending money and American soldiers overseas, reduce the military budget by 50% and stop propping up military conflicts across the globe. The U.S. has 800-plus military bases globally and spends $950 billion-plus a year. RFK proposes cutting that to $500 billion and closing all our international bases, to bring all our troops home, “arm ourselves to the teeth at home and make ourselves too expensive to ever invade.”
  • Legalize marijuana (and, eventually, psychedelics), so the federal government can tax their sales and use the money to fund wellness-and-healing farms across the country to deal with the addiction problem plaguing our nation.
  • Close and strengthen the border to stop illegal immigration but establish a process to make legal immigration/citizenship faster and easier. This will protect the American taxpayer and the immigrants.
  • Study American health, diet and chemical exposure to make Americans healthy again, eliminate chronic disease and provide enough science for polluters to be held accountable.
  • Stabilize the U.S. dollar using cryptocurrency, gold/silver and other commodities to reduce inflation and make living more affordable for everyone from our young adults to our oldest seniors.

The Kennedy campaign has well over 100,000 volunteers nationwide, has collected over 1 million signatures for ballot access and will not go quietly or without a fight. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stands for honesty, integrity, transparency and prolonging the American dream. His vice presidential candidate, Nicole Shanahan, offers more of the same but also a much younger perspective (38 years old) and a progressively increasing libertarian/freedom-centric worldview, with the legendary Ron Paul as her mentor.

The Kennedy/Shanahan 2024 presidential ticket will be on the ballot in all 50 states and has already collected the signatures to do so. They just need people to believe they can win because they can.

“Give me a sword, and some ground to stand on, and I will give your country back to you” — Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 2024.

Thank you and vote independent this November.
