Jane Brady’s Opinion piece cured me of ever supporting a Libertarian (“Lack of freedom limits Delaware’s prosperity”). I don’t want firearm freedom. I want children and all of us to have freedom from mass murder.
None of us wakes up each day wanting to pay more taxes, but when you look at property, sales and income taxes together, Delaware’s are lower than virtually all other states’. I’m tired of country club elites wanting to lower taxes, creating even more distance between rich and poor.
While I agree that we can use higher-paying jobs in Delaware, there are some efforts, like the Science, Technology and Advanced Research Campus in Newark, that can lead to more high-paying jobs longer term.
I say no to your Libertarian ideas.
