PRINCESS ANNE — If you are representing yourself in a family legal matter and would like to consult with an attorney the Somerset County Circuit Court has a free family services program available by appointment on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The Family Law Assistance Help Center will have a lawyer available to provide consultation on how to represent yourself and how to complete the forms for divorce, custody, visitation, domestic violence and various other family law matters.

Appointments at the courthouse on Prince William Street are scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon by contacting Helen C. Webster, 410-621-7582.

Additional free legal assistance is available weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. through the Maryland Court Help Centers, 410-260-1392 or mdcourts.gov/helpcenter where there is a “chat” link. There is also a Maryland Court Help App available through Apple and Android mdcourts.gov/courthelp/mobileapp.
