PRINCESS ANNE — The fourth annual Juneteenth celebration in the Town of Princess Anne is Wednesday, June 19 from noon to 5 p.m. at Manokin River Park.

There will be a peace walk, performances, presentations of history and culture, music and food along with participating vendors and exhibitors.

Juneteenth is the oldest-known celebration marking the end of slavery in the United States, first recognized by the state of Texas, and since 2021 a national holiday.

Sponsored by the town, Main Street and the Somerset County NAACP, vendors and performers are asked to participate by emailing somersetjuneteenth@gmail.com.
