CAMBRIDGE — The administration at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School announced Friday that Coach Rob Burnham has been named the head coach of the Vikings’ football program. Coach Burnham is entering his second year of teaching at C-SD, and his fourth overall for Dorchester County Public Schools.

He has 25 years coaching experience across multiple states, including Michigan, Virginia, and Maryland, and was the offensive coordinator for the Vikings over the last three years under former Head Coach Toby Peer. “He has expressed that he is eager to take on this new position and has big plans for the program,” a statement from the school said.

Coach Burnham will take over a successful program, after the Vikings finished their 2023 season with a 10-3 record and a trip to the State 1A Semifinals.
