Applications wanted for ag energy efficiency grants

ANNAPOLIS — MEA is pleased to announce the launch of the FY2015 Kathleen A. P. Mathias Agriculture Energy Efficiency Program (Mathias Ag program) to support energy efficiency projects in the agriculture sector.

MEA plans to distribute grants ranging from $15,000 to $60,000 for agriculturally-focused energy efficiency projects and will pay up to 50% of eligible costs for selected projects. New this year, MEA is expanding the program to include agricultural projects that incorporate renewable energy measures in conjunction with energy efficiency measures.
