Warm sunlight filled the autumn skies for the return of Thrive Dorchester – Senior Life After 55 event on Nov. 17 in Cambridge. The 2023 lifestyle event brought exhibitors, food and games, presented by the Dorchester Banner in partnership with Delmarva Community Services.

Active seniors were invited to explore, learn and enjoy the day at this free event at Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Intergenerational Center at Chesapeake Grove. Activities included a dance demonstration, cooking class, chess lessons, Bingo games, door prizes and vendors who shared expert knowledge on activities, health, home, finance and more.

“Our goal for our Thrive events is to offer information to help improve the lifestyle of our senior community,” said Heather Cregar, Banner director of marketing and promotions.

Event sponsors who made this day possible include Bath Planet Delmarva/Coastal Bath Co., the Care & Share Fund, Siri Premier Eyecare, the Megan Holotik Insurance Agency and University of Maryland Shore Regional Health.
