CAMBRIDGE — On Nov. 7, at approximately 8:30 p.m. the Cambridge Police Department responded to two armed robberies. Officers responded to the first reported robbery in the 700 block of Glasgow Street. Officers met with the victim and a witness who were walking to their vehicles. The victim advised that as they approached the vehicle an unknown suspect approached them from behind demanding money.

The victim advised that the suspect pushed them and grabbed property that they were carrying and fled the area on foot. A witness advised that as they were walking with the victim a thin African-American male approximately 5’09”——5’10” in height approached them with a handgun. The suspect was described as wearing a dark blue/black hoodie with a mask on.

The second robbery was reported shortly after in the 400 block of Linden Avenue. Officers responded and met with the victim who advised that he noticed three juveniles in the area. Shortly after one of juveniles approached him quickly, pulled out a handgun and stated “give me your money.” The victim handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash at which time the suspect then fled on foot.

WARRANT ARREST: HURLOCK - On Oct. 22, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sara Ann LaFave, 30 of Hurlock, on a Talbot County District Court Bench warrant. The warrant was issued as LaFave failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing. LaFave was ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center without bond pending further court action.

WARRANT ARREST: FEDERALSBURg — On Oct. 24, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrested Trayver Demonte Lake, 25 of Federalsburg.

On Sept. 28, an arrest warrant was issued by the Talbot County Circuit Court charging Lake with failing to appear at a scheduled court hearing. Lake was ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center without bond pending further court action.

WARRANT ARREST: PRESTON — On Oct. 26, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrested Vincent James Robbins, 23 of Preston, on an arrest warrant issued by the Dorchester County District Court.

The warrant charged that Robbins failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing on Sept. 12. Robbins was originally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Robbins was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center, Central Booking where he was held pending his initial appearance in front of the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT ARREST: CAMBRIDGE — On Oct. 27, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mandy Lynn Peters, 41 of Cambridge, on a body attachment issued by the Talbot County District Court.

Peters was charged with contempt of court. Peters was taken before a District Court Commissioner who released her on her personal recognizance.

WARRANT ARREST: TRAPPE — On Oct. 28, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office arrested William Franklin Adams, 61, of Trappe.

An arrest warrant was issued by the Talbot County District Court charging Adams with violation of probation. Adams was ordered held at the Talbot County Detention Center without bond pending further action by the court.

CDS ARREST: TRAPPE — On Nov. 6, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on Black Dog Alley near Matthewstown Road for an equipment violation.

Deputies identified the driver as Marco Antonio Camacho Jr., 20 of Trappe. Deputies developed probable cause for a search of the vehicle and located marijuana and paraphernalia. Camacho was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Camacho was processed at the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office and released on a criminal citation.

FIRE UNDER INVESTIGATION; HURLOCK — On Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. 25 firefighters from the Hurlock VFD responded to a fire at 6010 Palmers Mill Road to a single wide mobile home. The owner was the Full Gospel Church of God in Christ Jesus, Inc. and was occupied by Ashley Bell and Charles Cephas.

Discovered by a passerby the origin of the fire is under investigation. Estimated loss to structure was $5,000 and contents $1,000.
