Dorchester Center for the Arts January galleries

The Dorchester Center for the Arts is featuring in the galleries for January, its Instructors and Students Show and Sale. The exhibit will run from Jan. 8 through Jan. 31. Sponsoring this month’s exhibit is Wallace & Associates.

A free Artists’ Reception will be presented this Saturday from 5 -7:30 p.m., and will include light refreshments, a brief Fiber Arts Fashion Show at 6 p.m. and a People’s Choice Award presentation at 6:30 p.m.

Purchase Empty Bowls tickets now

Now that the new year has begun, it’s now time to purchase tickets for the Dorchester County Empty Bowls fundraiser for local food pantries. The dinner is being held on Jan. 25 from 5– p.m. All proceeds will benefit those in need in Dorchester County.

The event is being presented by area churches, Dorchester Center for the Arts and the Mid-Shore Community Foundation. Tickets can be purchased at the Dorchester Center of the Arts with cash or check only; or be charged by going to the Mid-Shore Community Foundation website at mscf.org and clicking on events.

The Dorchester County Empty Bowls has a link for purchases. To purchase tickets with cash or check, visit Dorchester Center for the Arts at 321 High St. in Cambridge.
