Devotional lenten lunch at Grace

CAMBRIDGE — The Dorchester Faith Alliance will hold the concluding in its 2018 series of five devotional lunches on March 20, noon-1 p.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Race St., Cambridge.

"Everyone is invited to come and be fed both spiritually and physically, as we share in fellowship with others from our various church families and community," a statement from organizers said. "We will gather at noontime in the Baraca Room at Grace Church, for a 20-minute devotional followed by a soup and sandwich lunch, and be on our way by 1 p.m."

There will be a freewill offering to cover expenses and help make possible a program this summer to provide for children at the Pine Street Empowerment Center.

This Tuesday, the Rev. Dale Krotee, pastor of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Cambridge will lead the devotion. The meal will be planned and prepared by St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

This is the 18th year that the Lenten Noontime Devotional Lunches have been held in Cambridge. Everyone is invited to come and share in this Lenten observance.
