CAMBRIDGE — Christmas comes early to Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care when the students from the Ella B. Walters Honor Society at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School volunteer to unpack and set up 16 Christmas Trees.

Like busy bees they go from tree to tree, setting up and fluffing. Boxes and tubs of ornaments and decorations are pulled from closets and attics and set beside the trees ready for decorating. Last step is for the tree lights to be checked and the trees are ready for the volunteer decorators to do their job.

The Festival of Wreaths opens to the public on Nov. 13 so everything has to happen early. Volunteers from the Festival of Wreaths committee are collecting items for the live auction to be held during the Holiday Benefit Gala at Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care on Dec. 4 with Buddy Foxwell auctioning off 10 to 15 items, one being a Basket of Cheer with 15 to 20 bottles of liquor and wine.

All donations and bids will benefit the Pleasant Day participants.
