Deadlines for Ocean View VFW art contests, scholarship coming up
OCEAN VIEW — The March 31 deadline is approaching for the artistic contests hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7234 Auxiliary.
Contests include Creative Patriotic Art (grades 9-12), 3-D Patriotic Art (grades 9-12), “Illustrating America” Art (grades K-8) and “Get Excited for Red, White & Blue” (grades K-12).
Applications can be downloaded from vfw.org/community/youth-and-education/youth-scholarships or by emailing scaux@aol.com.
Also, applications for a $1,500 scholarship for a 2023 Indian River High School graduate are due by March 30. Information is available on the school’s website or by emailing scaux@aol.com. The award is offered by Post 7234’s Auxiliary.
