HARRINGTON —  Zach Williams's Delaware State Fair concert has been canceled after the performer contracted COVID-19 and must quarantine.

The performance was scheduled for Saturday on the M&T Bank Grandstand stage at 7:30 p.m.

“Though my band and I have taken as many precautions as possible while touring this year, it finally caught up with me," he said in a prepared statement. "Please keep me and my family in your prayers. Fortunately, the virus is presenting itself in a manageable way and I am resting and recuperating at home. Thank you all and God bless.”

The Saturday Fireworks Show, presented by M&T Bank will now be displayed after the “An Evening with 38 Special” show, Friday July 30, at 8 p.m. (fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m.). Seats are still available.

For those who purchased tickets for the show:

  • If you paid by credit or debit card, you will receive a refund of the face value of the tickets and the convenience fees charged on all tickets purchased directly from The Delaware State Fair in the form of a credit to the credit or debit card used to purchase the tickets. Your refund will be processed automatically and posted to the credit or debit card used at the time of purchase within the next five business days. Depending upon the timing of your billing cycle, the refund will appear on your next credit card statement. There is no need for you to return your tickets or to do anything further to obtain your refund.
  • For those who purchased their tickets at the Box Office and paid by cash or check, the fair will be preparing and mailing a refund check to you within the next seven to 10 business days.
  • In the event that you have purchased tickets from any source other than directly from the fair (i.e. Stub Hub, Razor Gator, Galaxy, eBay, Craigslist, etc.), you must contact the ticket selling platform directly to obtain your refund.
