Yolanda Galindo, 46

MIDDLETOWN - Yolanda Galindo, of Middletown, was called to Heaven on Feb. 1, 2009. She was 46. Survived by husband of 27 years, Jose A. Galindo. Yolanda was born in Imperial, Calif., and raised by the late Pete Amato Sr. and his surviving wife Jennie Amato. Yolanda is also survived by her three children, Sgt. Peter A. Avila of the U.S. Army four time Iraq Vet, his wife Crystal and sons Kenan and Kaleb, Alexander Galindo, and Julia Galindo. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 371 E. Main Street, Middletown. Family and friends may visit Thursday evening, Feb. 5, from 7-9 p.m. at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown. Interment will be private.
