SMYRNA - Wilmer A. 'Bud' Ford died Jan. 29, 2014 in Bayhealth Kent General in Dover. Bud was born on May 12, 1943, son of the late Wilmer 'Ted' and Ruth Reed Ford. He was raised in Cecilton, Md., and was a 1961 graduate of Bohemia Manor High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in July 1961 and was honorably discharged in 1964 with the rank of Corporal. His career as a truck driver spanned over 40 years, with 2.5 million miles accident free. Bud was a fan of Elvis and the Ravens. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Lee Ford and his brother, Larry Ford. Bud is survived by a son, Allen Ford of Parsonsburg, Md.; a sister, Nancy Scott of Middletown; a grandson, Matthew Ford; and close friends, Scoopy and Ebbie Aronson of Elkton, Md. A service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 11 in the Chapel at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE. Arrangements by Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L.
