BOWIE, MD. - Willie L. McCloud, M.D. beloved husband, father and friend peacefully departed on March 31, 2016. Willie is survived by his wife Bonnie; and sons, Willie, Jr. (Dawn), William (Deatrice), Warren, Walden, Winston (Kishana); and his extended family and friends. Willie graduated from Milford High school in 1968 and in 1972 he graduated from University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. In 1975 he graduated from Howard University Medical School. In 1980 he opened a private practice in Prince Georges County, Md. During his medical career, Willie handled many complicated childbirth deliveries and medical procedures in obstetrics and gynecology. Willie graciously served as a mentor to many future medical professionals. He was known by his family, friends and patients as an intelligent, compassionate and caring individual. Willie enjoyed golfing, boating, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. at Refreshing Spring Church of God in Christ, 6200 Riverdale Rd., Riverdale, MD. on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 12 noon at Jesus Love Temple, 106 S. Walnut St, Milford, DE. 19963. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment will be held at Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. In memory of Willie, flowers may be sent to the Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro, DE. or a donation in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Society.
