GREENWOOD - Willie Fount Moorer passed away on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at Delaware Hospice in Milford. He was 79. He retired from the State of Delaware with the Woodbridge School District. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rev. Shirley L. Moorer; and a son, Alison George Thompson. He is survived by a son, John W. Moorer, II (Katherine) of Woodstock, Ga.; four daughters, Tamara Barnes of West Palm Beach, Fla., Elaine Moorer-Crapper (Kevin), and Cheryl K. Cuffee of Greenwood, and Tracey D. Crapper (Jonathan) of Seaford; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 13 brothers and sisters; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services were 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at Mt Olive Baptist Church in Bridgeville. Viewing was two hours prior. Burial was in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro, Delaware. Arrangements were handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Seaford.
