DOVER - William R. Jones, Sr., of Dover died Thursday, May 31, 2012. Mr. Jones was born May 19, 1932 in Whitter, Calif., to the late Harry and Helen Jones and brother to Dorothy. He served in the US Navy for 20 years, and then 14 years in the US Immigration and Naturalization Service. After his retirement from government services he enjoyed working at Wal-Mart. Mr. Jones loved cooking, reading and was always up on current events. His favorite song was "You Ain't Nothing But A Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley. Mr. Jones loved to dive weather in the ocean or pools. He was a great father and very much loved, he will never be forgotten, he was one of the greatest fathers that anyone could ever have. Mr. Jones was always there with an open hand to help everyone who needed him, will be sadly missed. In addition to his parents and sister he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Norma June in 2011; and their daughter, Tina Marie Jones in 2010. He will be missed by his loving children, Robert, Robin, William Jr., Tammy, Pamela, Steven, Timmy, and Frank; and 23 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren; and Frank's girlfriend, Donna who was there when we couldn't be; thank you Donna for helping daddy out. May you rest in peace, till we see you again with our heavenly Father Jesus Christ our Savior.
