Downes, Sr., 83 FELTON - William O. Downes, Sr., passed away surrounded by his family, Monday Feb. 03, 2014 at KGH Bay Health Dover. He was born on Sept. 10, 1930 in Dover to the late Frank and Ida Glanden Downes. He was a member of the Camden/Wyoming Moose Club. Bill worked at Playtex for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, bowling, reading and watching wrestling. He is preceded in death by his wife Fae L. (Cook) Downes, brother, Ronald Downes and sister, Corine Seaman (Beasley). He is survived by Sons, William O. Downes, Jr of Jacksonville, Fla., Frank Downes of Woodside; Sisters and husbands, Dorothy and Wilbert Comegys, Sr. of Dover, Betty and Woody Johnson of Dover, Charlotte and Ben Shockley of Dover; two grandchildren and long time companion, Eva Thompson. Remembrance Services will be held Monday Feb. 10, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover, DE Friends may also call Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover.
