William Joseph VanCak

Camden - William Joseph VanCak passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, in Kent General Hospital.
Bill was born on Nov. 21, 1937, in Yonkers, N.Y. to the late, John and Irene (Vaile) VanCak. He had worked for over 35 years for Litton Industries, in New York as a production manager. Bill loved his family, and loved animals, and in his free time enjoyed stamp collecting, fishing, and studying geneology.
William is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol (Chapman) VanCak; two sons, William J. VanCak, Jr. and wife, Robin, of Driftwood, Texas and James E. VanCak and wife, Carolina, of East Brunswick, N.J.; a daughter, Sandra VanCak, of New York; four grandchildren, Melissa Wilson and husband, Nick, Stephanie Hill and husband, Jacob, Diana VanCak, Thomas VanCak; and his first great-grandson, who is on the way, and whom he was very eagerly awaiting.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2018, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th Street, Suite 1002, Wimington, DE 19801.
