William Jennings Mills, 66 MILFORD - William Jennings Mills, died Monday, December 14, 2009, in his home. He was 66. Mr. Mills was born May 30, 1943 in Milford, to the late Miles Jennings Mills and Sara Clendaniel Mills. He was a farmer, heavy equipment operator and bus driver for Edgar Mills & Son. Mr. Mills enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was known to always have a joke to tell. He was a lifetime member of the B.P.O.E. Milford Lodge 2401. He held a variety of offices at both the state and local level, including past State V.P and past Exalted Ruler of the Milford Lodge. Mr. Mills was a Board member of the Cedar Creek United Methodist Church. Mr. Mills is survived by two daughters, Terry Mathis and Melinda Weber and her husband, Robert, all of Dover; and four grandchildren, Eric and Kaitlyn Mathis, and Clair and Olivia Weber. Memorial services were 3 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2009, at the Milford Elks Lodge, 211 Marshall St., Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to B.P.O.E. Lodge 2401, Milford. Local arrangements by Torbert Funeral Chapels, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
