FREMONT, Calif. - William Exley of Fremont, died on Dec. 10, 2010. Bill was born Dec. 18, 1926, the son of John O. and Lola Watson Exley Argo in the small village of Boxiron near Snow Hill, Md. The family moved to Milford, Del. in 1935. At age 17 he joined the United States Navy and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After the war he migrated back to the east coast for a period of time but then went west and lived in California for the balance of his life. He was predeceased by brothers, John Exley, Walter Exley, George Exley, James Exley and Charles Exley; and sisters, Marie Byrd and Sarah Hearn. He is survived by brother, Roscoe Exley of Newark, Del.; and sisters, Nora Downes of Milford, Del., and Elizabeth Hodge of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by daughter Karen Sutton of Carrolton, Texas; and grandson, Kevin Daniel Sutton of Carrolton, Texas. The funeral was held on Dec. 18, 2010, in Fremont, Calif. The burial will be at the convenience of the family.
