William David Twilley, 61

HARTLY - William David Twilley, of Proctors Purchase Road, Hartly, passed away Sunday Nov. 16, 2008, in Delaware Hospice Center Milford. He was 61. He was born on Jan. 24, 1947, in Milford, to Benjamin F. and Mary Swiggett Twilley, Sr. He was a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years. After retirement with IVOE Local 542 in Philadelphia, Pa., he enjoyed going to auctions and collecting and selling tools. He is preceded in death by his father Benjamin F. "Jake" Twilley Sr. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Twilley of Hartly; son, Matthew; stepson, Billy; daughter, Julie of Kentucky; brother and his wife, Paul and Josephine Twilley of Hartly; brother and his wife, Benjamin F. and Michele Twilley Jr. of Hartly; sister and her husband, Rebecca and John Kohout of Hartly; sister and her husband, Sally and Chuck Wojcieszyn of Hartly; and two grandchildren. A special thanks to his long term care giver Nancy for her dedication. Remembrance services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover. Friends may also call on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Trader Funeral Home. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Mamie Warren Senior Center 1775 Wheatley's Pond Road Smyrna, DE 19977 or Delaware Hospice 911 South DuPont Hwy., Dover.
